Windows 10 KB5026435 released with new features
The cumulative update for Windows 10 KB5026435 is now available, and it is not a security update. New features, such as an improved Windows Search, are included in today's Windows 10 release, which sets it apart from previous updates. The update is available through Windows Update, or you can get the standalone setup file for KB5026435 for Windows 10.
The KB5026435 update is not required and will not be installed automatically. This update has been tried and tested by Windows Insiders, so you can rest assured that it is compatible with your device. Some of you, however, may experience difficulties; in such cases, it may be best to hold off until Patch Tuesday, June 2023.
For those who are unaware, every month on the second Tuesday, Microsoft releases a security update for Windows 10 that includes all of the changes made in the prior optional cumulative update. This means that all of the features available in today's optional update will be standard on the June 2023 Update.
The following patch will be available under the optional updates section if you check for updates today and have already declined the Windows 11 offer:

The search function in Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3031 has been updated. Windows Search has been updated to provide a more consistent and modern experience across all taskbar styles and sizes. After installing the update, you won't have any trouble opening files or using the internet. At the same time, you can test out a new feature called search highlights, which is designed to showcase Bing's best results in the search panel itself. This function was exclusive to Windows 11 until the May 2023 optional update made it available to Windows 10, and users can revert to the previous version of Windows if they so choose. If you respond to the dialog message that appears when you use search, you can return to the previous search interface. Microsoft is updating its toast notifications (pop-ups displayed on desktop and above applications) with new features. Up to three urgent toast alerts can now be shown simultaneously. This is helpful for apps like Microsoft's To-Do and the Clock app, as well as those that allow you to set reminders and alarms. Microsoft is also testing out displaying up to four warnings at once, with three being of high priority and one being of normal priority. In addition to these two major additions, this preview update also includes numerous smaller changes and improvements. Microsoft, for instance, claims to have resolved an issue whereby Internet Explorer users were unable to modify their tab settings while in compatibility mode. The issue where multi-function label printers did not function as intended has been fixed. Microsoft has similarly addressed an issue with the touch keyboard. Some users were affected by this and were unable to see the proper keyboard layout. The list of improvements and bug fixes is as follows:- The problem where the touch keyboard wouldn't open has been fixed by Microsoft.
- Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) cluster was restored by Microsoft after a bug was addressed.
- Microsoft has resolved an issue where mobile device management (MDM) apps like Microsoft Intune were negatively impacted by incorrect policy application.
- After installing the patch, Windows Firewall should function normally. Any attempts to communicate with that IP address will be blocked by the firewall.
- Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) now functions without any problems.
- The BSOD issue that occurred when accessing a large NTFS reparse point has been resolved.
