Intel’s February 2023 driver updates released for Windows 11 and Windows 10

Driver updates for Windows 11 and 10 for February 2023 have begun rolling out from Intel. As soon as new drivers become widely available on Windows, we will update this story. At the moment, only the Bluetooth driver is available.

What, then, is fresh in Intel's February 2023 revision? According to Intel's official release notes, the most recent drivers should improve Bluetooth performance on Windows 10 and 11. The manufacturer of the chipset claims it has made "several changes" to make it easier for devices to connect to WiFi 4 (802.11n).

If you use Phone Link, you may have noticed that things have changed for the better in terms of the stability of Bluetooth connections between your computer and phone. Numerous characteristics of Phone Link, a product of Microsoft (formerly Your Phone) rely on the wireless abilities of personal computers (PCs), such as Bluetooth and WiFi.

Our tests showed no discernible improvement in Microsoft Phone Link performance after installing the new Bluetooth drivers.

There have been a number of significant bug fixes made, as well as enhancements to the overall quality of the product. One such fix addresses an issue where enabling both Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time would result in a Blue Screen of Death error and a subsequent system reboot. Even though this is extremely uncommon, it has been brought to light by several reports in the Feedback Hub.

Most recently, the Intel Wireless Bluetooth 22.200.0 driver has been updated with new features and heightened security.

Users shouldn't expect any major changes after installing the February 2023 update because Intel isn't releasing any brand-new features at this time. The update should be put off for a few days. Only users who have experienced issues with the preexisting drivers or who have a pressing need for the newly patched bugs should download the new drivers today.

How to get the February 2023 Intel driver update

Windows Update is also used to distribute new versions of Intel's drivers, in case you were wondering. It's possible that you'll get this driver update in the future if the device's original manufacturer continues to support it. In the event that you cannot wait for the OEM to release drivers for your device, or if the OEM has no plans to do so, you can always use Intel's Driver & Support Assistant.

Just do what I say below to get going:

  • See Intel's website and set up the i.D.S.A. Driver and Support Application

  • To access the Update Assistant, please click here. This is in the taskbar's system tray.

  • Start the update installation process after checking for updates.

If the newly installed drivers are causing problems on your desktop, you can roll back to the previous versions using the Device Manager.
